Welcome to Syangboche Panorama Hotel in the Everest Region! It is one of the most comfortable resorts situated at 13,025 ft. above sea level, atop a hill, above the famous Namche Bazaar, en-route to Khumjung and Khunde villages and is close to the famous Everest View Hotel built by a Japanese entrepreneur in the early 70s. It is merely a ten minute walk from Syangboche Airport. Syangboche Panorama Hotel’s location makes you feel as if you are above the clouds, which often is the case if you get up early and look down in the valley! This 22 room resort hotel is built to provide travelers a comfortable accommodation in the ambience of nature in a quiet location. One can stay at our hotel and explore the Sherpa village life styles and the scenery at leisure or join one of our short treks.
With the development of Syangboche Panorama Hotel, we have designed short camping treks ranging from 2 days to 8 days. These treks offer you perfect opportunities to explore the Sherpa village life styles to monastic cultures and the extraordinary scenery in the region. From Syangboche, we operate short cultural treks in the nearby Sherpa villages, monasteries and longer adventure treks in the entire Everest Region. Our short treks are perfect for those of you who have limited time and are looking for short and easy trips. These short treks are lead by our trekking crew and are fully catered. Day 1: Early wake up, helicopter adventure ride and trek to Namche
Breakfast at the hotel, depart to the airport, and take a helicopter flight from Kathmandu (KTM) to Syangboche (SYB), about 45 minutes of scenic adventure ride.
Upon arrival, our staff from the hotel will greet you at the Syangboche Airstrip and lead you to the hotel, about 10 to 15 minute trek from the airfield, where a hot up of tea or coffee or hot lemon is waiting for you. Then, check into the hotel and relax for few minutes. Then, take an easy trek down the hill to Namche, the biggest Sherpa village in the Everest Region. Once you are in Namche, you will be guided to visit museums, monasteries, and to see the life styles of the Sherpa people here.
Lunch break in Namche, Nepalese or Western style lunch will be served.
Afternoon - trek up hill and overnight at Syangboche Panorama Hotel and dinner will be served at the hotel.
CAUTION: Along the way, you may encounter Yaks (pack animals) carrying loads. Wherever you approach Yaks, stay away from their way and always against the mountain, but never at the edge of the mountain or cliff. Do not make noise or shout, it can frighten the animals and create unpleasant situation. Also, please do not consume any alcoholic beverage or take medication that make you feel unsteady while trekking.
Day 2: Trekking Syangboche to Tyangboche Monastery
Early morning wake up and breakfast at the hotel. Then, begin trekking with your trek crew. Along the way, briefly visit the famous Everest View Hotel built by a Japanese in the early 70s. You are likely to see Himalayan Tahr, Serow, Musk deer, Impeyan Pheasant, and other wildlife along the way to Tyangboche not to mention the superb views of the towering peaks. After trekking few kilometers down the slope, you will get on the traditional Everest route. The morning trek is rather easy.
Lunch break will be at Phungki Tyanga at the base of Tyangboche by the Dudh Koshi, a scenic place surrounded by forest. Your kitchen crew, the cooks, will rush ahead, cook lunch and wait for your arrival. Hot lemon, tea, coffee, chocolate, and water will be served as you arrive at the lunch spot followed by a delicious lunch.
Take a short break after lunch. Then, trek up hill through the fir, pine, juniper, rhododendron and high altitude scrub forest until you reach Tyangboche Monastery compound. As you arrive Tyangboche campground, your kitchen crew will serve you hot tea, coffee, and chocolate with delicious biscuits. This will be like your English tea break! Tyangboche Monastery is the biggest monastery in the Everest Region and is surrounded by towering icy peaks. From here, we can see sun set and sun rise over Everest if the weather is clear.

Trekking Tyangboche Monastery to Syangboche Panorama Hotel Today, we get up early to catch the sun rise over the towering peaks. From here, we can view Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse Shar, Ama Dablam, Kangteiga, Thamserku, Kwangde, Khumbila, Tawoche and much more…
Then, breakfast and visit the monastery and the head Lama (callend Tyanboche Chawi Lama) to receive blessings.
The old murals inside the monastery was destroyed by the 1989 fire. However, all the interior and exterior design and decoration is almost as close as the old one.
While at Tyangboche, look around the monastery in the bushes, you will most likely encounter a musk deer or variety of colorful phesants. Then, we trek back the same way we trekked up.
Today, our lunch will be served at Lhawishasa, nearby the forestry nursery. Then, trek the remaining uphill to Khumjung village, visit the monastery and possibly see the partial skeleton of Yeti before heading to your Syangboche Panorama Hotel.

Day 4: Syangboche to Kathmandu by helicopter
Early wake up and breakfast at the hotel. Then, the hotel staff will help you to trek down to the airstrip to get on the helicopter to Kathmandu. After arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel or assisted to connect the next destination
